Megan Scott was born and raised in Asunción, Paraguay where her parents worked as Southern Baptist Missionaries. She moved to Oklahoma and attended and graduated from Shawnee High School. She went on to study art at Oklahoma Baptist University where she received her Bachelor’s in Art.
Megan has spent much of her career in public service working for more than six years in public health. Then, spent over five years in early childhood and family policy and nonprofit program development. She now works as a project manager for the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development managing a grant to expand and diversify registered apprenticeship opportunities across Oklahoma.
Megan wants to take her unique experience in nonprofit work, workforce development, and public health to the Oklahoma City Council. She believes that our city needs diverse and creative representation in order to take care of all residents of Oklahoma City.
Megan and her husband Russell, live in Northwest Oklahoma City. They are parents to one daughter and two dogs. Megan recently completed her master's in public administration and spends her spare time sewing, volunteering at her church, and running.
